Postalco Channel Point Pen Rail – Silver

The Postalco Channel Point Pen Rail is a solid metal ballpoint pen built around one central idea: that the best writing instrument is the one you stop noticing. The rounded hexagonal body — machined entirely from a single block of aluminium — shares its shape with a classic pencil, making it immediately comfortable in the hand without any break-in period. The Rail variant is distinguished by fine parallel grooves extending across more than half the pen body, giving it just enough grip for writing in any position without any rubber or plastic involved. In Silver, the natural aluminium finish and the solid brass clip share a warm, metallic tone that reads as unified and unfussy — the most classic expression of the Channel Point range.

The U-clip is Postalco's original design and the most considered part of the pen. Machined from a solid block of brass, it arcs over the top of the barrel in a single curved shape that allows the pen to sit lower on notebooks and pockets than a conventional clip — and when clipped, only the top of the U is visible, giving it the clean, unobtrusive appearance of a tie clip rather than a pen. The clip is also the activation mechanism: pushing the top exposes the tip, pressing the front retracts it. The pen ships with a Mitsubishi Jetstream SXR-5 0.5mm waterproof refill and is compatible with the full SXR range. Each pen is handmade individually in Japan.
