At the heart of the pen is ZENTO ink — a water-based pigment formula with a POA surfactant that acts as a molecular buffer between the writing ball and the paper, reducing friction by approximately 40% compared to conventional water-based rollerballs. The result is a writing feel that is noticeably softer and smoother than most pens at this price point. Attracting particles in the formula draw the ink together as it lands on the page, keeping lines crisp and minimising feathering and bleed-through even on thinner papers.
