Field Kit - The Professor Candle

There is a particular quality to the air in a room where someone reads seriously — something between old paper, tea gone slightly cold, and the faint sweetness of a well-worn armchair. The Professor captures it with surprising accuracy. It opens with apple and bergamot, bright and slightly floral, before settling into rose hip at the mid — soft, tart, and just complex enough to hold the attention. The base is black tea: dry, grounding, and completely at home on a desk stacked with notebooks. Lit before a long journaling session or an evening of unhurried reading, it builds the kind of atmosphere that makes it easier to stay in the chair.

The candle is hand-poured in small batches at Field Kit's studio in Calgary, from 100% soy wax with a clean-burning cotton wick, and comes in a reusable glass jar with a metal lid that keeps the fragrance fresh between uses. Once the wax is spent, the jar makes a clean, minimal vessel for pens, small tools, or anything else that deserves a considered home on the desk.
