Field Kit – The Explorer Candle

The Explorer opens with ginger and bergamot, a sharp and slightly citrusy combination that carries a restless, forward-looking energy. The mid notes of cedar and basil add an earthy, grounded quality as the candle settles, and the base of sandalwood and patchouli brings the whole profile into something warm, deep, and just exotic enough to feel like somewhere else. Lit at the desk while writing about a place you have been or want to go, it does what scent does best — it puts you there.

The candle is hand-poured in small batches in Calgary from 100% soy wax with a clean-burning cotton wick, and comes in a reusable glass jar with a metal lid that keeps the fragrance fresh between uses. The jar is designed with a second life in mind — once the wax is spent, it makes a clean, minimal vessel for pens, pencils, or whatever else belongs on a well-used desk.
