The Tombow 8900-VP is a classic Japanese double-ended pencil that has been a trusted desk staple for generations of students, editors, teachers, and professionals. One end is tipped in vermilion red, the other in indigo blue, split evenly 5:5 down the round wooden shaft — giving you equal lengths of both colours in a single pencil. It is the kind of tool that disappears into a workflow and just works.
The round shaft is lightweight and comfortable for extended use, and the lead is centred precisely throughout the wood casing for even sharpening and reliable break resistance. The medium-hard lead writes smoothly without tearing fine paper, making it equally at home on notebooks, documents, and printed sheets. Common uses include proofreading, editing, checking, colour-coded annotation, map marking, scoring, and drafting — anywhere a quick switch between two colours is part of the process.
Each pack contains one dozen pencils, sold unsharpened. Tombow has been making pencils since 1913, and the 8900 series reflects that long history of consistent, dependable quality.
