The MD Notebook is one of those objects that earns its reputation quietly. There is no ornament and no decorative finish, just MD Paper, the paper Midori has been developing in-house since 1960. It is used for the pages, the cover and the endpapers, and you notice it the first time a pen touches the page: smooth, and resistant to feathering and bleed-through, even with a fountain pen.
The A6 is the size of a pocket paperback: small enough to carry everywhere, with enough room for daily records, ideas and casual notes. The ruled lines include a thicker line at the centre of each page, so you can split it into top and bottom sections, or divide a two-page spread into four. Add dates and it becomes a diary or planner, or use the sections for memos. The thread-sewn binding opens fully flat at 180 degrees, and a bookmark string and index stickers are included.
Please note that MD Notebooks are currently undergoing a subtle update to their cover design. Orders may include notebooks featuring either the previous or the updated cover, depending on available stock. The paper inside is completely unchanged.
