The MD Notebook Paper Hardcover is the most considered way to carry an MD Notebook. Made from thick Córdoba paper — the same warm, slightly textured material used across the softer MD cover range — this version is significantly firmer, rigid enough to serve as an integrated writing surface. That means the notebook can be written on comfortably without a desk or table underneath, which opens up the MD to field notes, standing writing sessions, and carry-on travel in a way the softcover cannot. The cover wraps around the front and back of the notebook with two interior pockets that hold the notebook's covers in place, keeping everything snug without any mechanism needed.
The Córdoba paper develops creases and a subtle patina with use, becoming something more personal the longer it is carried — a quality shared with the Ro-Biki Note's wax kraft cover and the Postalco Snap Pad's pressed cotton, but in a distinctly MD idiom. The cover is designed exclusively for the A5 MD Notebook and cannot be used with the MD Notebook Diary or Journal formats. The open dimensions are 223 × 316 mm. A pen holder loop is integrated into the spine.
