The Rollerskate is LAMY's most energetic AL-star in years — a 2026 Special Edition that draws directly from the visual language of 1970s and 80s roller disco culture. The bright pink anodized aluminium body is paired with electric blue accents throughout, and the transparent blue grip section reveals the pen's internal ink feed in a way that adds a playful depth to the overall look. It is a colour combination that commits fully to its reference — bold, vivid, and entirely intentional. The AL-star is the aluminium evolution of the Safari design: same ergonomic proportions, lighter weight than you would expect from a metal pen, and a build quality that holds up to daily carry without any concessions.
The transparent grip section is one of the AL-star's most distinctive features — it allows the ink colour inside to show through, adding another layer of visual interest as the pen is used. The pen features an interchangeable Z50 stainless steel nib, and the Extra Fine grade lays down a crisp, precise line well suited to smaller handwriting and detailed note-taking. It is compatible with LAMY T10 cartridges or the Z28 converter for bottled ink use. One blue T10 cartridge is included.
