The Kokuyo HAKOAKE is part of Kokuyo's Transparent Mechanism series, where the internal slide mechanism sits behind a crystal-clear body so you can actually see how the tool works as you use it. It is a compact, pocket-sized tool that switches between scissors mode and box cutter mode with a single cap-free slide, one-handed, without removing any cover or cap. In box cutter mode, an approximately 3mm blade extends for opening cardboard boxes cleanly while the scissor blades stay safely closed underneath. In scissors mode, the blades open fully for cutting PP bands, clothing tags, and similar everyday materials.
A front guide on the casing aligns to the edge of a cardboard box, helping keep each cut straight and controlled rather than wandering off-line. The black body is compact at 11.3 cm long with the blade retracted, and a strap hole at the top lets you hang it from a hook, cord, or keyring for quick access at a desk, in a bag, or by the front door.
