The Kaweco Steel Sport is the most substantial pen in the Sport family — a solid stainless steel take on the iconic 1935 octagonal silhouette that adds real weight and presence to a format usually associated with lightweight portability. The brushed finish runs on the diagonal, giving the surface a subtle texture and a satin quality that catches the light differently from a straight-brushed or polished finish. Unlike coated metals, the raw steel will develop its own character over time — minor handling marks and subtle wear that accumulate naturally with daily carry.
At 40 g, the pen has a front-weighted feel that encourages a relaxed, light-pressure grip — the weight of the pen does much of the work of pressing the nib to the page. It measures 10.5 cm capped and 13 cm posted, following the same compact Sport proportions. The stainless steel nib is manufactured by Bock in Heidelberg and is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, and Double Broad. One blue ink cartridge is included. Note: the Steel Sport body is not suitable for eyedropper conversion — prolonged contact with ink can corrode the metal interior. The clip is sold separately and may be difficult to attach without marking the finish.
