The Kaweco AL Sport Stonewashed is the most lived-in looking pen in the AL Sport range — and that is entirely the point. The Stonewashed Blue finish is achieved through a surface treatment similar to the process used in denim manufacturing, applied to a CNC-turned solid aluminium body. The result is a matte, subtly worn texture that looks like the pen has already been carried and used for years — and because each unit goes through the process individually, no two come out exactly the same. It is a finish that removes any anxiety about the first scratch, because there is no such thing with a Stonewashed pen.
The pen follows the same compact Sport proportions and iconic 1935 octagonal silhouette, measuring 10.6 cm capped and 12.9 cm posted. The pen arrives in a Kaweco gift tin. The clip is sold separately.
